MAS Holdings, Sri Lankan-based global apparel and textile manufacturing and tech conglomerate, announces that its Supported Employment Process has been featured on the #ZeroCall25 shortlist for the prestigious Zero Project Award 2025. Out of 522 nominations from 90 countries, MAS Holdings’ innovative approach has been recognized as one of the top 160 solutions globally, showcasing the manufacturer’s commitment to disability-inclusive employment.

Under the company’s Lives Changed For Good pillar of the company’s sustainability strategy the MAS Plan for Change, MAS is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. The Supported Employment process, a rights-based approach, helps employees with disabilities progress their careers through comprehensive support, including developing vocational profiles and facilitating career growth. Today the programme supports and empowers over 450 employees.

The Zero Project, in partnership with the ILO Global Business and Disability Network (GBDN), is dedicated to eliminating barriers for persons with disabilities. By spotlighting exemplary practices, the Zero Project aims to foster a more inclusive world aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD).

The winners will be revealed on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, December 3, 2024. MAS Holdings is honored to be among the finalists, alongside the Australian High Commission of Sri Lanka, as the only Sri Lankan entities to achieve this distinction.
