As our flagship women’s empowerment programme, ‘Women Go Beyond’ continues its 20 year journey into another transformative year, we invited some of the women and men who play crucial roles as allies of WGB, to sit down for a series of conversations and share their experiences through the years.
In the third episode of our ‘Allies in Change’ series, Rowena Sherin and Nethmee Adikari, champions of women empowerment at MAS share their journey of uplifting women. As a Senior Executive in Social Sustainability, Rowena drives women’s advocacy efforts at MAS Intimates. Nethmee, Manager in Sustainable Business at Bodyline, leads initiatives on women’s advocacy and sustainability.
The Women Go Beyond programme was created in 2003 as an effort to address gaps in resources, skills, rights and needs for women, who make up the majority of the MAS workforce. Now in its 21st year, the programme has evolved significantly and focuses on empowering women and building equality among all genders, aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles.
